It’s -31C right now, which is is about -24 degrees Fahrenheit. With wind chill it feels like -43C which is over -45F!!!

I feel really bad for anyone who has to go out today. Especially parents lugging around their little kids to and from daycare. Actually, all the schools in Saskatoon are closed today, so hopefully the parents can stay home where it’s warm and spend the day with their kids.

According to the news last night, the blizzard we had yesterday was the worst we’ve had in years. Today there are warnings all over the province and a lot of roads are closed.

Emergency crews were working around the clock yesterday to make sure all the stranded vehicles were empty. Lots of people were trapped in their cars for hours and there were even people stranded at business. Costco employees had blankets for their trapped customers and they even made them meals.

Did I mention I’m glad I got to stay home yesterday?

The Yip Yip Martians from Sesame Street were awesome!

Well, it’s just after lunch time here and I’m still in my pajamas. Maybe I should get dressed. I should probably do the dishes too, and pick up toys, and do some laundry, and figure out what I’m going to make for supper tonight.

Today I’ve accomplished watching a movie and eating some cereal. That’s about it. I must be depressed today. That and I didn’t get enough sleep last night because my daughter crawled into bed with me at about 2:30 a.m. because she had pooped. I just can’t seem to get away from it. The fact that it’s blowing snow at a million miles a minute today probably doesn’t help either. Crappy weather always makes me feel crappy.

I guess I’ll put some clothes on now and try and be productive. But first I’ll watch the Doodlebops with my kids.

Well, it’s becoming quite clear that I’m no longer able to work while Joey is awake.

The first thing he does is come over to the desk and play with the keyboard. Now every time I write a post it ends up looking like this

It’s getting too frustrating. I’ll just have to wait until he’s in bed. That sucks.

I should never have bought Final Fantasy XII. I’m a total addict.

I have Final Fantasy VII, VIII, XI, X, X-2 and now XII. It’s a wonder I get any work done at all. If you love role playing games (RPGs) then you’ll go crazy for Final Fantasy.

I’m probably the only mother I know of that plays it. Most guys are really surprised when they find out I play Final Fantasy. It’s the perfect way to relieve stress and take your mind off things.

There’s so many things to do so you never get sick of it. If I could, I would play for an entire 24 hours straight. Maybe I’ll even dress up as one of the characters for Halloween next October. I’d have to lose a few pounds though because all of the female characters wear pretty skanky outfits. (I’m sure that’s one of the reasons it’s so popular with the pervs.)

Now I’m going to end this post and get back to my game!

I’ve been sitting here at the computer for awhile now. Every two minutes I pick up my empty can of Diet Coke, thinking that more pop has magically reappeared and I get disappointed every time. Am I the only one that does that?

Anyway, after the tenth try to rediscover some pop, I thought I’d do something more constructive. I have precious minutes until both my kids wake up, so I thought that I’d start my own blog.

Now, if people want to find out more about me, they can just read this. Some days I might be writing about my adventures with an empty can of Diet Coke, other days I might be telling you about my latest brilliant idea to make money.

Probably most days there will be posts about my silly kids or my recent pet peeves. I just thought it would be nice to have a place where I can write down almost anything and have others read it too if they like.

Keep in mind, that my daughter is now going through the potty training stage which means there might be some pee or poop stories. That seems to be the story of my life lately. One kid is pooping ON the potty, not IN the potty while the other one is pooping in his diaper and getting it squished up his back.

On second thought, maybe I should just keep those to myself.
